MOC Timeframe Chart
The MOC process is designed to be completed in incremental stages throughout the ten-year cycle. Ultimately, each component will be completed in a specific timeframe over the ten-year certification cycle: ORR once in years 3-4; 2 PORTs once in years 5-7; and DOCK once in years 8-10.
During the transition to MOC, the components and their required timeframe are slightly different for each group of diplomates. The chart below illustrates the specific requirements of diplomates according to their current certification status: Initial Certification (those currently in their first ten-year cycle) and Recertification (those who have recertified at least once).
